What to expect in Alcudia.
Alcudia sits on the northern tip of Mallorca, where a beautifully preserved walled old town meets one of the island's longest stretches of sandy beach. The bay curves gently past family-friendly resorts and a busy marina, with the S'Albufera natural park just south of town for birdwatching and cycling. It's one of the most popular bases on the island, and one of our most requested routes.
Most visitors stay either in the old town itself, walking distance from the Roman ruins of Pol·lentia and the Saturday market, or along Platja d'Alcudia, a 7km beach lined with family resorts and beach bars. If your hotel is in Port d'Alcudia's marina area, expect a similar drive time — the whole bay is compact enough that pickup location makes little difference to your fare.
Alcudia is also a practical base for exploring the north of the island: Cap de Formentor, the Caves of Campanet, and the ferry to Menorca all leave from nearby. Many of our clients combine an Alcudia stay with a day trip to Pollença or Ca'n Picafort — we're happy to arrange those transfers too.

How far is Alcudia from Palma Airport, and how much is the transfer?
From Palma Airport the drive is almost all motorway: the Vía de Cintura ring road takes you round Palma and onto the Ma-13, which runs north through the Raiguer valley past Binissalem and Inca. The motorway ends at sa Pobla, and the last few kilometres into Alcúdia are on an ordinary road across the plain. Wherever you stay around the bay — the old town, the port, Platja d'Alcúdia or Alcanada — the final part of the trip only takes a few minutes.

I had a group of friends visit me from England to celebrate my 50th birthday and I used Gold Transfers Mallorca for all of their airport transfers as we live in the North of the Island and also their chauffeur service for day trips out and I highly recommend them. On the arrival day the flight for 2 of the group was delayed at Manchester for 3 hours so without any issues they picked up the first group to arrive then went back for those on the delayed flight to save the first group waiting at the airport for 3 hours.
