What to expect in Soller.
Sóller is a stone town in a valley of orange and lemon groves, closed in by the highest peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana. Life turns around the Plaça de sa Constitució, with the modernist façade of the church of Sant Bartomeu, cafés under the trees and the stop of the old wooden tram that runs down to the port.
Visitors stay in boutique hotels in the town, in restored townhouses or in country houses among the orange groves. A little higher up the valley, Fornalutx is a village of steep stone lanes and green shutters, often called one of the prettiest in Spain, and we cover it too (it has its own price in the booking form).
Since the road tunnel opened, Sóller is only about half an hour from the airport. From here you can take the historic train to Palma, the tram to the beach at Port de Sóller, or walk the mountain trails that start at the edge of town.

Drivers for pick up and return from Palma airport to Alcudia were on time and friendly. No issues whatsoever. Van was spacious for our big group of 7 plus luggage and they provided a baby seat and booster seat for our kids. Perfect! Plus communication was brilliant via WhatsApp.
I had a group of friends visit me from England to celebrate my 50th birthday and I used Gold Transfers Mallorca for all of their airport transfers as we live in the North of the Island and also their chauffeur service for day trips out and I highly recommend them. Do you go through the Sóller tunnel?

Can you reach a country house in the Sóller valley?
Yes. Many houses are reached by narrow lanes between the orange groves. Send us a map pin when you book and tell us if the access is tight, so we send the right vehicle.
Is Fornalutx accessible by car?
Yes, there is a road up to the village. The lanes inside Fornalutx are very steep and partly stepped, so your driver stops at the nearest point and helps with the luggage.
